Knowledge Building on Women in Clean Energy

The workshop, hosted by Italy in collaboration with the C3E TCP and the IEA, aims to share experiences on data collection and methods of assessment to analyse gender diversity as well as the employment opportunities to women offered by the energy transition - Rome (Italy), April 11th 2018.

Established in June 2017, under the leadership of Canada, Italy and Sweden, the Clean Energy Education and Empowerment Technology Collaborative Program (C3E-TCP) aims to strengthen the role of women in the clean energy sector which remains one of the most gender imbalanced sectors. Participants of the November 2017 Women in Clean Energy Side Event, held prior to the IEA Ministerial meeting in Paris, agreed that there was an urgent need to improve the knowledge on workforce, skills and education of women in activities related to clean energy.
